Direct international routes from Pune are limited. Common destinations include Dubai, Singapore, and Frankfurt, but schedules change frequently. Check the current list on the Pune International Airport website or with airlines. For other countries, plan a connecting flight via Mumbai or Delhi.
Arrive at least two hours before a domestic flight from Pune. The airport shares its runway with an Indian Air Force station, so security checks can be thorough. During peak hours, queues at check-in and security may be longer. Confirm the recommended time with your airline.
The Pune Metro does not currently serve the airport directly. The nearest metro station is on the Aqua Line, but you would need a taxi or bus for the remaining distance. Check the current metro network map, as new lines are under construction. Allow extra time for transfers.
There are no scheduled commercial flights between Pune and Mumbai, as the distance is only about 150 km. The expressway takes roughly three hours by road, and trains take about three to three and a half hours. Flying is not a practical option for this route.
Yes, Pune has direct domestic flights to most major Indian cities, including Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad. Frequencies vary by season and demand. Check the current schedule on the airport website or with airlines for up-to-date availability.
International flights from Pune operate from the same terminal as domestic flights. Arrive at least three hours before departure for international travel. Passport control and security checks can take time. Confirm your airline's check-in deadline and any visa requirements before travelling.
